I’m debating whether I should stop my raining here or if I should keep going, because as mean as I’m being, it’s becoming easier and easier to do it, plus I’m finding more and more examples of where to explain what you need to do better.
Art is great here. I like the art style a lot in this comic. But nothing happens. There’s no conflict, there’s no risk, there’s no joke. Ence gets the mail. That’s it. “Sure is crazy out there.” Yes, you just described the previous two panels, something that isn’t required since the art did a perfectly good job of showing me that it “Sure is crazy out there.”
I know that this is coming from life experience, because the entire state of Oregon was held hostage by snowfall this year. But who cares? “Deep snow is deep.” Give me more. I’m craving more. If you are doing a comic and you base it off of an inside joke, you need to do a better job of either explaining the inside joke within your comments or just realizes when an inside joke is only funny to you or people who just “had to be there” to get a joke. You aren’t going to appeal to a very large audience if your jokes are only ones that you and your close friends are going to get. This is all assuming that the joke burried under the snowbank in this comic is an inside joke and not just missing entirely.
Why am I being so cruel in my comments you may ask? You need to get better, and I know you can. Massive Pwnage has a lot of potential, but you aren’t taking any risks or doing anything to stand out and you desperately need to, otherwise you’re going to fade away and just be another failed web comic. Right now the comic is suffering most from something I’m going to call “Your parents never told you you weren’t funny” syndrome. You familiar with this? It’s when a child grows up telling his parents jokes but his parents never tell him when he isn’t funny and always encourage him and tell him he’s the funniest child ever, so that when he gets to high school he has no idea why no one else thinks he’s funny. It’s important to tell your kids when they are doing something wrong, otherwise they’ll never learn anything and they’ll stagnate. You’re doing something wrong, and you need to realize this, as brutal as it may be, before you get to high school and none of the other kids want to be your friends.
@Parade-rainer
I honestly could not be bothered reading your comment when i saw the length of it.
I didn’t bother with your comment, you shouldn’t have bothered with your comment either.

Yeah, that first panel came out really good. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to pull it off.
This one makes me happy. It’s really like that outside now.
Yeah, this one comes from life experience. It’s crazy out there : P
