I briefly talked about XCOM in our most recent podcast. It’s fun! I like it. If you’re a fan of turn-based strategy games like Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics, you’d most likely enjoy XCOM. Though, now I’m repeating myself. I’ve found that it’s harder to comment on comics set within a storyline, for some reason, so let’s talk about XCOM again.

You get used to losing rookies. Like, it’s just a natural part of daily life. I wouldn’t even bother customizing them -giving them fancy armor and a nice haircut- until they’ve gained some ranks and earned my trust. And THEN they go and die on you. They finally become real people that you’ve become emotionally attached to, and they take a plasma burst to the face. Unbelievable.
