Pokepark, Pikachu’s Big AdventureBy Locke on October 15th, 2009
Not that I don’t like Pokemon games, (I like the core games, none of the offshoots), but Nintendo and Creatures really need to come out with a 3D pokemon game with some Action RPG elements. Oh wait… here it is. Ever since I finished Blue Version, I’ve wanted them to come out with a 3D pokemon that allowed you to control the pokemon after you’ve sent them out. It would be like a fighting game, only you can switch the fighters out during certain crucial moments, and there would be that same element of strategy when trying to build the perfect party of pokemon in terms of Type. This isn’t that game, but its taking a step closer. Hopefully Nintendo might be consider that instead of releasing another rehash. AT LEAST GIVE US ANOTHER POKEMON SNAP, DANG YOU! -Locke |
There’s not really enough screenshots or anything to give any idea what kind of game it is, but that shot of Pikachu dodging Charizard’s fire breath does make it look like an action game. An action type game where you control a Pokemon, or even a team of Pokemon, would be awesome.
Yeah, mostly because the RPG element is getting a little stale for me. I’m fine with the type based combat, it’s just…grinding XP is always a chore. There’s not alot of reward anymore. Before it was enjoying what was at the end. Now its like, “Collect EVEN MOAR Pokemon! Beat Gym Leaders! Fight the Elite Four….again…Fight MOAR!”
I would like a Pokemon game with the gameplay style of Kingdom Hearts maybe.
