I haven’t played any of the original XCOM games, but I’d say that the new one is worth checking out. It’s a game based on a system of turns and tactics. If you like either of those things combined with aliens, levelling up your dudes, and super hard decisions, then you should at least have a go with the demo.

An update on my Wacom situation: I managed to borrow a Bamboo, which is smaller than my Intuos, but still pretty cool. There’s actually a texture to the surface, so it’s a very different feeling. It’s all right, but I’ve found that the smaller size of the tablet makes it harder for me to draw certain kinds of lines that I had no problem drawing before. I just hope my new pen comes in the mail sooner rather than later.
