Well fine then! Have fun hanging out wth the Borg! At least, I think that’s how that episode went.
I’ve been watching a bunch of TNG on Netflix. It’s always been my favorite. That and Voyager. And the original, of course. Deep Space 9 is good too but I never got into it as much. I never watched Enterprise so I don’t even got an opinion about that.

Everybody always seemed to be kind of a dick to Q. I think they would have got a lot further with him if they’d handled him with a sense of humor. I think if I ran into Q I’d see if he wanted to go on an intergalactic pranking bender. I’d #$%& with the Borg a lot too, like streaking through Cubes going “I’m resisting! I’m resisting!”
In my opinion, Deep Space 9 lacked the appeal of the earlier series’ because they were basically waiting for problems to hit them, rather than exploring space and pushing new boundaries. Plus, they focused way too much on the Latinum addiction of whatever those big-eared things were. Pretty much every episode I watched mentioned Latinum at some point, while other Star Trek episodes tended to be fairly currency neutral.
On the topic of Enterprise, it had a lot of the enjoyable traits of the earlier series’, but still managed to create something distinct from the previous iterations of star trek. It’s focused on an earlier period, which I know comes before DS9 and TNG, but I’m not sure about the others.
Some notable differences are that the Enterprise doesn’t have absorption-style shields and Warp Technology is available, but not completed. So while there are some alien attacks and new worlds to be found, there’s also quite a bit of scientific testing, tweaking, and sometimes even finagling. One particularly memorable episode had the Enterprise at a deep technological disadvantage, with their only means of victory being a gamble on some unfinished technology, which begins to overload. Their hopes for survival rest upon ensuring that catastrophic failure is averted until they can escape; and even if they do manage, they will still have to keep the ship from exploding.
Next Gen is my favorite series, but DS9 had my favorite episode, The Visitor. DS9 spent the first 2 seasons mostly dealing with the politics of Fed vs Bajor, which got tired fast. But they needed Wynn to become Kai. I don’t mind the Ferengi, they’re the comic relief. But it was too much a space soap opera, and since soap operas rely on characters playing off characters, and DS9 was new, they didn’t have anything to go on but the tough-knocks chick fighting the grieving, self-pitying commander.
Enterrprise took place about 70 years before Kirk’s TOS (The Original Series. Thus the warp 5 limit vs Kirk at around warp 8.
That is one happy Q. 😀
At first he had a happy. Then he had a sad.

Today’s my birthday… I hope Picard doesn’t kick ME off the bridge. :*(
Happy birthday 🙂
Did you know that Q is the voice of discord in the new MLP episode?
Yeah, nobody likes DisQord either :c

Enterprise would have been loads better if they hadn’t gone with the time travel plot. Yech.
