at this point it doesnt have to be real, you’ve created the rumor, just like the rumors of how that show was going to end, how many characters were aliens in purgatory, that the final season was a cover-up to hide a secret 13 year documentary on goverment smoke machine testing, and the by now proven fact that a half dozen actors are cursed to never find work again,
on the other hand poor Locke, the damned and the trolled
Actually Mystur, I’m pretty sure that’s what the joke was. I looked at the last panel for a second thinking “Ok, so this is one of those jokes I wouldn’t get unless I had actually watched Lost.” and then I looked at it a second time and realized what the joke was, and then thanked God that I have won the game.
Re-reading the strip again, I can now see that the joke involving The Game (@#$%!) was probably the original intention, however there is one thing that confuses me: if you realized what it meant, how could you have possibly won it being the entire point of it is to lose? Thus, we obviously aren’t talking about the same game. A game which I have lost yet again… *sigh*
The Lost Board Game does exist… i have it in my house… and it taunts me still…
I didnt watch the Lost series after season 3 (excluding the season 3 finale) and save for a few episodes in the last season. It was a good show but things happened and i never had time to watch any tv. I also have never played the Lost board game, but ive seen it around my house a few times and never really looked at it… till now…
And it doesnt seem that fun to play, its got a lot about power checks, special abilities, and some sort of event system, but im too tired to read through the instruction manual. Maybe ill play a game with my brother one of these days and reply with a comment on here how it plays out.
I love Locke’s response in panel 2. Perfect!

Is it bad that I started cursing when I read this strip’s title being that I had just lost after weeks of not losing?
…I wonder how many readers also lost what I’m referencing to…
I think that that will be much people, very much people 🙂
