Path of Exile has been described as a Diablo 2 that uses Final Fantasy 7’s materia system and Final Fantasy 10’s sphere grid. If you think Diablo 3 isn’t complicated enough, then it’s pretty fun. I like both!

The thing that killed it for me a while ago was all the desync issues.
They’re an indie dev, and I understand why the issue exists, but nontheless it frustrated me.
Then i decided I’d stop getting frustrated with losing characters to desync and just stopped playing hardcore. Not really sure why I liked hardcore so much in the first place after that…
Plenty of high-ranking hardcore characters have died due to desync. It’s even worse in invasion mode where weak bosses sometimes one-shot you after a patch. I won’t play hardcore til they get that nonsense sorted out. >.>
