Rambling Nerds Episode 8 – It was Dungeons and Dragons all Along

Wednesday, October 31st, 2012

In this week’s episode of Rambling Nerds, Jon and Josh review the new Silent Hill movie, want to read Octopus Pie, talk about some Batman, forget that they already spent an entire episode talking about Castle Ravenloft, get spooked, talk at length about the new aproach they’re taking to write Massive Pwnage, drink half a gallon of chocolate milk, and Josh types extremely loudly, right into his mic. Especially right at the 50 minute mark. Seriously, what’s up with that?

Dungeons and Dragons Encounters

Thursday, September 13th, 2012

Last night I got to go to Red Castle Games and play my first session of Dungeons and Dragons Encounters!

I’m rolling an Illusion Mage named Daedalus. I had a blast and hope to return next week to pick up where we left off. The group was very kind and understanding, especially after my first rolls were great then slowly descended into a pit of <12 rolls. All in all I had a wonderful experience playing a well-written, well-designed encounter. If you have a hobby shop near you that runs a weekly game I highly recommend that you do yourself a favor and sign yourself up. I've been DMing 4E games for the better part of three years now and have had little chance to play it as a PC, save for some fourthcore sessions, I’ve not been a part of an adventuring party for quite some time. I have to say, it’s fun to be rolling dice for a single character again. There’s a certain satisfaction you only get when you make that DC roll to revive an ally from the brink of death, or a wave of despair when your party is counting on you to nail that spell and you botch it with a flimsy 2. I’ll keep you guys posted on my adventures through the Underdark.

Commissions

Friday, September 7th, 2012

All right, it seems I have some time on my hands, so it’s time to open up for some commissions. I’ve actually always been available to do commissions, but it turns out that a lot of people didn’t know that! Here’s the basic rundown:

-Single character, black and white = $15
-Single character, color = $25
-Additional characters = +$5
-Only PayPal is accepted!

Easy! These numbers aren’t set in stone, however. Really, just tell me what you want and I’ll tell how much it’ll cost. A good rule of thumb is that if you want a lot of detail, then it’ll take me longer to draw, therefore I’ll charge more.

Here’s some examples of commissions I did at a con. If you want a hand-drawn piece, I’ll need another $5 for shipping. Otherwise it’ll all be digital. My DeviantArt and my Tumblr both have plenty more examples of my art.

Thanks a lot in advance, these commissions will help me continue living in a house rather than a car. Also, please consider buying a book. If you buy an artist edition straight from me, I’ll even draw a picture in it! But hey, even if you can’t afford a picture or a book, the best way you can help me out is by spreading the word about Massive Pwnage. The only thing a cartoonist ever really wants is for people to read their work. Also, money. Money is good too, I suppose.
