The creative process behind this comic:

I was playing the new Crystal Chronicles on the DS, and I thought “I should make a comic with moogles saying kupo. That’s all they say.” But, moogles don’t just say “kupo”, so I tried to think of something that only speaks in one word. Pokemon! Pokemon can only say their own name (depending on the Pokemon of course), so what would life be like for them?

“What’d you have for breakfast Squirtle?” I ask.

“Squirtle,” the Squirtle replies.
