It’s just plain unfair: you nail every game in qualification, but cant carry once all the other guys from your team reached like 0/6/1 or sth. and end up losing anyways. After that you get ranked in bronce4 and can never hope to get decent mates ever again.
The real danger is falling a division or two; the game mentality down there is much different compared to where you were. Thankfully I’ve been learning new champs and strategies as I go, and am steadily climbing the Silver Divison.
What are the bans down there? If you want to know what the bans usually are in Gold/Plat, its usually Elise/j4/Xin/Hec/Vi/Blitz
Those guys are the t1 heroes that some people in lower levels overlook.
In particular Vi is really good for carrying- then Elise basically auto wins top lane with a magic pen stack build.
I’m not actually scared about playing alone. It’s not fear, it’s pure hate! If I have to play alone with a bunch of random guys, it’s normally like that:
No. 1: Flamer,
No. 2: Never played this champ before, but doesn’t need advises. Best situation. Worst: “go feed”/”go afk”
No. 3: “LAAAAAAGGGG” “LAAAAAAAGGGG” *disconnect*
So I hate playing solo! After such a Match I could use this sweet candle as a flamethrower but sadly it couldn’t reach my teammates =(
Just looking at your match history on Lolking, I see you play a lot of top and jungle. That said, here is my advice (I’m only GoldIII so take it with a grain of salt)
If you go top, consider playing someone with global presence, or at least gank mid. Top characters tend to carry the hardest in a game where nobody gets fed, but that rarely happens if you don’t support other lanes.
If you go jungle, pick one person on your team who looks competent and get them a huge early advantage. After that, baby sit any lanes which are in danger of giving a lead and do everything in your power to safely earn dragons, which puts your entire team ahead.
General advice is that if you mostly play top and jungle, get used to trying to be the leader. Ask for wards around the area where the enemy team likes to lurk and catch them out of position, and make sure your team is grouping when you want to teamfight, and staying safe when you don’t want to teamfight.
My last piece of advice is to make sure your team always has at least one really tank character, one spammable source of cc, and enough burst to burn down someone who gets caught out of position. Also, if you ever want to play normals (I don’t like ranked, and I don’t think I’m good enough to carry anybody) feel free to invite me, I’m already on your friends list I think.
Thanks for the tips! I carried through the lower levels of silver with Pantheon Top, so your initial advice makes a lot of sense to me. I used to use his global ult to my advantage and feed our mid or bot a lot of kills to a win.
I feel your pain, comrade.

Story of my S1 life….. Never ranked after THAT.

Our bans are usually Malph, Kha’zix, Amumu Blitz, Alistar, and then we ban according to what they could potentially play to counter our picks.
I like how there’s no description for this comic. I think the punchline was fairly self-explanatory.
I’m not even at ranked yet, but since reaching lvl 29 I’ve had nothing but horrible teams and losses T.T
this could be the beginning of a great new adventure…
Its funny because me and Locke were just having a discussion on this the other day
im too scared to play ranked D:
Yeah, me too. I’m actually too scared to even play normal games without friends anymore.
