Power Gig. It looks… not good. The graphics, presentation, and interface just aren’t up to par with Rock Band. But, what it all comes down to is the gameplay, wich is always hard to determine by watching videos.

The one thing Power Gig has going for it (as far as I can tell) is the new guitar. It has strings on it! I have absolutely no idea how this thing works. I mean, I guess the game can detect which frets you’re holding down, but does it matter which string? It does double as a real guitar though, so that’s cool.

All I was thinking while I was watching these videos was “I hope that guitar works with Rock Band.” Oh, and “those drums look TERRIBLE.” They’re just sensors that sit on the floor as you swing your drum sticks around. Yeah, I don’t know.
