The Creeper is a Spy
More Minecraft! Is everyone playing the newest patch? Sprinting is awesome but then you have to eat! Hunger meters are not as awesome as running at super speeds. Especially since your source of food runs away from you now. Though, I suppose that just makes it more fun, and it definetely adds to the experience.
Also, just thought I’d show an earlier form of this comic.
Wow! The monsters are getting smarter in order to get to their goal!
Poor Locke, but he should have known ;-P
Yup, the new patch is amazing…
I don’t know that I have anything to add to that.
Stupid creeper, deceiving me with beautiful thoughts.
Oh boy… spies in Minecraft…
I wonder if Notch will ever add enemies that disguise themselves as other players in SMP?
Try the seed “Hell” when spawning a new world. At -300, 300 there’s a massive circular mountain formation which spawns mobs during the daytime, and has a gigantic maze of mineshafts directly beneath it.
I’m planning on making a thread on the Minecraft forums about this seed, because I think the landscape around the mountainous area is absolutely amazing. I’ve seen some nice pictures of neat auto-generated landscapes on the forums, but nothing to match that of Hell. Also, the seed name is amusing.
Just to clarify, I realize it’s not uncommon for mineshafts to be fairly big, but I explored this one for a good 4-6 hours before clearing it. There were about a dozen total mob spawners, and about half a dozen of those were dungeons connected to the mineshaft.
The nice part was that it wasn’t “mashed together,” having several mineshafts on top of eachother. There also weren’t any ravines or caves cutting directly through it. Both of which I’ve found to be fairly common and annoying occurrences, because they disrupt the feel of trawling through a dungeon.
That sounds super interesting. I might have to try that out for myself…
